I hope this star thing *is* a badge. It does look ominously like some kind of shuriken:

"Shuriken (手裏剣; lit: "hand hidden blade") is a traditional Japanese concealed weapon that was used for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing an opponents arteries.*."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuriken

"Enforcing civility" by throwing those at people who use bad words online would be going too far.

Dude,
Slow down; I'm having a tough time catching up with so many posts.

Namaste, friend. Let me know if you need any help with the Leopard mess.

The commenter on the linked post was right about making a yellow fabric version of these, for street visible enforcement…

Is there something about free speech which people just fundamentally don't understand? (To ask a patently rhetorical question.)

FSJ have you seen that Microsoft's Executive Vice President says that Apple's trying to persuade the record labels to drop DRM is a fiendish plot on Steve's behalf to grab more sales for the iPod?

I always thought myself that DRM-free downloads would only help the iPod. what I can't see is what is so bad about that. Why should I want music tied hand-and-foot with Microsoft's DRM, so that it will only play on Microsoft-certified devices?

Much love, FSJ.
It saddens me to see Tim and Jimbo losing their marbles.
I trust you take no offense at being listed in the same list as Mini and MSFTEM.
