Not so fast, My Little Pony

As pointed out here, ponyboy kind of jumped the gun when he announced last week that we'd be using ZFS in Leopard. In case you're wondering, yes, this is what happens when you make a deal with Apple and then double-cross us by announcing it before we say you can. In case you feel like a good laugh at MLP's expense, see our classic tribute video here.

"Apple CEO Steve Job"? Nice editing InformationWeek and star reporter Antone Gonsalves.

Yo, Fake Jobso,

With the Safari and the ZFS posts seems like you're giving people hints about your real identity.

looks like ZFS is an option now.
Did your little pony apologize?

You're too hard on the Pony. He worships the ground you walk on you know. Don't forget that had he not created the world's greatest office suite at Lighthouse Design, NeXT would never dominated the desktop market.

Bwaahhh-ha-ha-ha-ha!

I expect that these other commenters don't appreciate how hard it is to be a fake CEO.

Speaking of my little pony, here's another youtube video, it's definitely a good one.

Geez, a lot more people know about ZFS today than did three weeks ago. A LOT more. I wonder who that's good for. Hmm. Hmm.

You know what. He looks like my Mass Communication teacher and advisor... Sad. I like my teacher. I will never be able look at him without thinking my little pony. I may have to show him the post.

Hey Steve,

Looks like someone put one of those surplus Sony batteries under his posterior. And whomever did it knows how to find the On button.

This is one of the funniest blog posts I've ever read along with the YouTube video! Especially those of us who were around and involved with NeXTSTEP in the 1990s! Anyone who worked with NeXT machines knew that there was not much love between Sun and NeXT.

Lost in some of the historical annals is that Ed Zander while a VP at Sun appeared in at least one NeXTWorld Keynote and now Ed is in Chicago running Motorola, eating hot dogs and drinking beer at Wrigley Field. Surely Ed's got some iPhone envy.

As another commentator said, Schwartz was one of the guys who started Lighthouse Design and Concurrence was an excellent NeXT app in its time but then Sun bought it and dug it a grave.
