Shame about those Xbox defects

Guess the faulty Xbox units are flying back into Redmond so fast they can't keep up with it. See here. Then again maybe I shouldn't gloat. We're having some problems of our own. Guy says his iPhone pooped out after four days and that, "my iPhone would get incredibly hot to the touch when plugged in and charging while I was on a long phone call. So hot I lived those first three days in constant fear that it would heat to the point of burning up," and it "all but burned the skin on my hand." Certainly seems like user error to us but we gave him a new phone anyway.

Then again, it's from MSNBC.

MSNBC... just another example of how MS has forgotten how to make money. Everybody back to Business 1A, where they explain that you have to sell things for more than it costs to make them. (Cummulate losses of $4 billion in that division... I guess after you lose the first billion the next ones are easier!)

And not a minute too soon, as suddenly BillyG needs that stock price up. I mean if he's not the richest man in the world, he's just an aging ugly nerd with a really bad haircut.

Kudos on YOUR margins, Steve. Looks like you haven't forgotten how to make money, and replacing those extra warm iphones will be no big deal.

Hey Steve,

Having a user replacable battery would have pretty much solved this problem. Didn't you learn from the first iPods, and all the bad battery press? But you don't want to hear that.
