Well, he is right about the 3G thing. If the iPhone won't have 3G when it comes to europe it will totally suck ass. Here we have great 3G infrastructure and it would be crazy not to be able to use it with a expensive phone like the iPhone.

Additionally, designing a phone UI has nothing to do with designing an Apple II. Display the temp in Celsius? FFS, that's more battery drain and nobody in the iPhone's current market does temperature in Celsius.
I always forget that you don't like Woz or atleast like to make fun of him... Then again it could just be something I forgot because I secretly like this. Knowing me... Well actually that wouldn't do any good.

Just give Woz some freelance or consulting contract already. I am sure it has not escaped your observation that in the last few years your old friend clearly doesn't know what to do productively with his vast spare time and big retirement bucks anymore. He only wants to come back to Apple and work on his legacy, implementing some of his many ideas into a few more products that potentially could change the world again. Don't go all-in and bet the company on him, but give Woz one or two little hobby projects just like the Apple TV is yours. Consider it damage control: That way you actually might get good input for new products, and have him off the interview track with stupid reportards where he could wreak havoc for beautiful products he just doesn't love because no one at Apple asked him before.
